I walked out of my home the other day and saw this:
Earthlink has provided New Orleans with free FeatherWIFI. The pole is
on the corner of my driveway and I am connected to them now as my COX
DNS server is down. I am as far away from the radio as I can get and
running at 54mps. If you travel to New Orleans many of the areas of the
city have this service. Thanks Jim
The RV resort next to my place just put in a wifi router and I pick up the signel. I just purchased a wifi phone, 500 min for $15. It has a message service and I found on my last trip that there are hot spots all over the place. So far - I'm happy with it. But, I don't use a phone all that much.
