Found a few pictures of family travels early 70's

I was going through some pictures today, a couple of which had Airstreams in them! See if you can spot them. I also see what might be a Boles Arrow. One shows Mom and Dad's Nomad trailer and his 1971 F250 Camper Special. Thought I'd share.

Wow... that's nice!!! Thank you.....

(Didn't make my Aunt Carolyn look any nicer, though!! She married in to the family, so I'll cut her some slack. )

PaulnGina, how fun!! I love to look at old pictures! Aren't you lucky you have some of your family camping!?

Perhaps Aunt Carolyn isn't too happy because it looks as tho her Schlitz is about gone. (Sorry, I had to joke about that, I hope that's ok, if not, I promise I won't do it again.) :-)

You know, Deb..... you might be on to something!

Carolyn was Uncle Mike's 2nd marriage. Not real sure what happened to the first, but I think #1 was stepping out on him. Anyway..... we lived in Oklahoma, Dad's side of the family lived in and near their hometown in SW NY state. We didn't see the relatives more than once or twice each year, simply due to the distance, and the fact that it was a major endeavor to haul 7 kids anywhere! We were not rich by any means, but I don't remember ever feeling like we lived "without" anything. I had pretty much an Ozzie & Harriet childhood... no major trauma at all, lots of good times and good memories. (I waited until I was an adult to cause any personal trauma...... all good now, though!!)

I just remember Carolyn being one of those loud, obnoxious, whiner types, and her personality got "enhanced" with adult beverages.

I really treasure those and other photos from back then. The main reason I posted that particular one was: if you look closely, just above Uncle Mike's head is the tail end of some kind of Airstream. I think I remember that the family's last name was Steinbeck, and that trailer rarely moved.

I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the pics! I'm still digging through more....

Good question.

I assumed that it was gone, but a quick internet search shows that they are still around, owned by the Pabst Brewing Company.

(Which reminds me...... There is a local restaurant that we go to that offers Pabst Blue Ribbon in 16 oz. cans for $2!!!! I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is a pretty good beer! I had forgotten that it tasted so good..... to me, anyway.)
