Hmmm, I've been here much too much. But the job hunt has come to an end it looks like. Bad to post more than a pair of retired post hounds. Back to the $$ smell of diesel in the morning and the din of drilling 24/7.

Thanks. And you can tell also by that post count that the public library has been slim pickings of late. Even something as toothy as Tony Judt's final book doesn't last long when time hangs heavy.

That next Silver Streak is now that much closer.

First have to learn how to use a new piece of equipment, a pneumatic trailer loaded with a dry well drilling agent:

6-on and 2-off . . I'll leave the quantitative posting to others. Save enough for the camera CrawfordGene recommended. Etc.

That was interesting. But, somewhere in the cosmos, there's a geek in his mother's basement with waaaaaaaayyyyy too much time on his hands. Just my 2 cents.

Oh, there are all kinds of customers for that data, from marketing to DHS contractors and the NSA keeping you safe from abstractions. Good money to be made in providing raw and collated data by the essentially "non-literate" who are otherwise technically competent.

Yeah, NSA doesn't bother me near as much as the random misanthrope in the basement. But I do see yer point..... He might be receiving help from elsewhere.......
