Looked at La Fuma's at a local rv dealer. She said they were the best.
They were comfortable but I did have sticker shock.
My $15 Walmart/Chinese chairs are not comfortable.
There is a thread on Zip-dee but compact does not mean comfortable.
What do you use?

I can relate to your storage unit picture - all my Airstream "parts" are in a storage unit too awaiting installation when I get the trailer exterior and running gear done....

Two years and counting! I've finished the wiring, started getting the interior skins back in.

I suspect the $175 chair was a recliner. The one pictured is usually available for about $100.

We have one of the Lafuma recliners, and they may very well be worth the price. I ran across one at a sale for $120 and wish I had bought two. They are very comfortable, store easily, and are strong.

There are two main styles, the padded version and the mesh version. The mesh is less comfortable generally, however it dries quickly if wet and would be cooler in very hot/sticky climates.

There are many imitations, but I have not seen one as good as the original.

We use Zip Dee's with custom teal/aqua covers that match our awning and little vintage stools for our feet. This works out great for us because it's multi-functional...we can take the chairs to Happy Hour, easily sit at a table, sit with the stool to raise our feet for a moment or use the stools for guests. Th La Fumma Recliners look too big for our trailering habits...we never sit still long enough to warrant a separate recliner!

I am right there with both of ya! I am starting my second year...what is sad is that I am still taking pieces and parts out BTW the LaFuma recliners are COMFORTABLE! I took a nap in one at an RV center while my wife was looking at RV's

When we had our sob we carried the La Fumas for trips where we would be staying awhile in one place. We now use that as our first choice at home outside and can easily fall asleep in them! However wonderful as they are they have to weigh plenty and we had to stow them away out of the elements and they are bulky. We now use the Zip Dees also as Shari said a great grab and dash chair. To make them more versatile and condusive to lounging we purchased the add a lounge from Zip Dee. They fold flat separate from the chair and we put them behind the couch. Two hooks hang over the seat bar and it's connected. The bonus here is you can sit upright or even straddle them with a newspaper fitting nicely. Here's a picture from our last trip. We would highly recommend them.

ZipDees are light and travel easily, but, in our estimation, NOTHING beats our La Fumas for making an already great trip incredible. We have invited so many campers to sit in ours and try them out that I think we should have some kind of pay off from the company! Yes, they are pricey. Yes, get the padded style. No, you'll never regret the investment, at least if you are a little on the achey side of time-age as we are. Our LaFumas have made extended travels possible, whereas we used to head for home after a few days out because of Max's bad back. Just an unsolicited but passionately given endorsement of these comfy, relaxing chairs. With our travel, the LaFumas are the last thing packed in the AS, put just inside the door, and the first thing unpacked and enjoyed before setting up camp--along with a glass of merlot, of course! ~G

We use the collapsible Airstream fishing-type chairs. They fold up and go into a sleeve that comes with them, and the sleeve stows in a zippered pouch on the back of the chair. They are comfortable, at least much more so than a chair with an aluminum frame cutting off the circulation to your legs. IIRC, we paid around $20/each for them at the Airstream company store.

WOW! My mother has a set of those chairs she bought new LOL. They were not for a camper she bought them at Monky Wards I am sure. I seem to recall a table when I was a kid but I know she doesn't have it now.
They are the most comfortable chairs of that style I have ever sat in.

Yeah, my aunt uncle had them too...they were M-Ward folks (we were Sears) . I can remember many a holiday struggling to get them open/closed and my dad laughing his head off and cursing the whole time...very funny!

BTW...I think the table is an Airstream original though...

Went to LLBean's today to inquire about La Fuma.
They had a different brand in pink in stock.
Not being a pink color preference guy, I asked if in the sales person's opinion La Fuma was better.
She said yes.
