Flair for the Outside of my Bambi

Hey Gang!

So last fall before I put Bambi in storage, I bought one of those magnetic signs done up like an american flag that I wanted to put on the back in that odd space just to the side of my aft window (I have the corner bed model, so that back window is set somewhat off to the side).

Duh. I forgot that aluminum isn't magnetic. There's a reason why I'm not an engineer.

Anybody have a good lead on where I could get maybe one of those "stickers" that is acutally a clingy piece of plastic that "sticks" on by static electricity? Those won't harm my skin, will they?

The back of my Bambi just needs some flair, but I don't want to put an actual sticker back there. She needs to represent for Mama when I'm behind the wheel, ya know? In the meantime I settled for a plate frame:

Good link ... good choice of flair. What about that window film stuff that has the stars & stripes pattern?

The rear window is a great place to add flair.

I had my WBCCI numbers printed on a piece of the static cling film so my Airstream could wear them when I wanted it to and be "bald" when I wanted it to be bald. The sign company said to remove it after it rained because water could wash dust under the film and the film would actually move ever so slightly and cause the dust to scratch the surface. I haven't moved my Airstream since I returned from the last rally so I don't know, but I will remove them after my next rally next month.

Hayley, you can also get blue number decals with your AIR number, in your case 28510. The numbers can go on the back window of your Bambi, and if you ever sell or trade it, they can easily be removed with a single edge razor blade.

For something on the inside that also shows up nice on the outside, we put some of those sticky-gell-type-window things on our kitchen window inside, which look real cute outside when the light is on inside. Did flowers at first, then ladybugs. Fun!

I took the liberty of looking at your albums and with your creative eye, you should be able to come up with something pretty spectacular. Please post a photo when you decide.

Nice Flair!

Looks good Hayley. Who is your Naval Aviator? My husband was a Navy pilot who retired January 1st. We're full-timing in our Airstream (1966 Overlander) until he starts his next career. Go Navy!

Hahahah!! That's so awesome! Actually, I'm an enlisted Aircrewman, not a pilot. I actually work for a living.

Quick pilot joke: You're at a cocktail party with 50 people, one of them is a pilot. How can you tell which one?

...wait 5 min. He'll tell ya.
