Todays search engines threw the answer out before the whole thread even loaded, but entertaining never the less.

It is amazing how the internet has evolved.

Remember when we had encyclopaedias and had to go to the library? Now we just go to the web and search.

You can even speak in almost any language now in the time it takes you to type your words.

I cannot even imagine how one worked on his or her Airstream. Who did you call? or how did you know who to call.

Long distance phone calls cost so much you would not even consider calling. ( A WBCCI Directory was worth its weight in gold)

Today even the Europeans are exchanging info with Americans as fast as they can type "logon"

"Logon" or is it "Log on"?

Remember when the "force" was on the big screen? Now you can harness the force at your finger tips, (the Keyboard)

I did like the Gore answer though. You all did hear how he invented the internet right. He needs to grow his beard back and go hide under the bridge again..

Regardless of one's politics, all Gore ever said was that he was instrumental in getting some early funding for the internet. That was true. Even many of his his opponents admitted that.

Wouldn't it be nice if politics were not a series of half-truths and outright lies.-

without the ability to chat with fellow owners, the vast majority of whom have a great deal more experience in owning and operating their Airstream than do I. I have literally started a hard-copy file of information I have learned from owners on this web-site. Examples: the right tow vehicle GVWR/trailer weight combinations; how to repair the sliding laminate wood doors (that one worked like a charm on a ripped panel we had); the proper polishing techniques, etc. You folks have saved me hundreds of dollars. This would have been impossible without the ability to "chat" via this medium.
