I took the best emblems I had off of both of my Javelin hoods (yes, I actually have 3 hoods for this motor!), polished them up and installed them. Looks pretty good, with the exception of one of the main chrome pieces. The Chrome has flaked off one of the side pieces down to the copper. Maybe for xmas I'll treat myself to a re-chrome... Good enough for now, though!!

That's it for this weekend's festivities. THis week the aluminum battery box and dash plate should be here, so I can start buttoning up the electrical side of things.

Your yard must look like mine! I can't WAIT to get my barn finished this summer... My airstreams need a home! haha!

I've started running the main engine harness wiring... more on that later, with pics!

Time's a tickin! April 5th is going to be the first testing of everything. I don't want to tow it up to the airstream rally and have it just sit there all weekend. TONS to do before then!

We understand that you're working hard against a deadline, but that doesn't change our desire to see constantly updated pictures!

There have been several brands of aluminum runabouts over the years. Feathercraft was a Georgia brand, and here in Texas there was a boat manufacturer named Lone Star boats that produced similar aluminum boats, usually painted.

I just saw this on Ebay and thought you might like to see it.

Yeager

I don't see any time for a test flight of mine.
It will be Springstream or bust...maybe both.
Much to do inside MH too.

Are you really going to put this in water?
Or back up to launch and slide off?

Tell that to my poor neglected airstreams, cars and woodshop!

:-)

Cool boat! But I dunno about painting an Evinrude red...

That's what it's for, man! It IS a tilt trailer, though, so I wouldn't have to get it ALL wet... haha!

Is yours a key or push button start? I have both for mine. I think my motor requires a key, though.

Well, I was going to mention that I'd like to see some progress on your Airstream threads, but then it seemed like piling on...

Really needing that clone.
Drive from Panama City to Tennessee and back in a day?
I know I can, done crazy stuff like that before.

Choke part I don't have are parts on motor.

More dash photos coming up...

Bow Wow

Surprized to have an outside day today.
Fitted up items on bow.
Windshield has a rubber seal that goes on bottom, and curve will be added when eveything tightens up.
So you will not see a gap at bottom.

Back to sewing...

Wow! VERY nice, man! I can't wait to see your boat in person! I love the windshield brackets. It almost makes me want a windshield now.

Now you need to get a Merc Mark 55 to go on that thing. They'r ered with a stainless band around them.

JP

ps. I'm the 13,000th viewer of this post... pretty cool, for an off-topic start, huh?
