Mad Dash

I'am looking at calendar and...how can I be at beach and go to this?
Really needing that clone.
Drive from Panama City to Tennessee and back in a day?
I know I can, done crazy stuff like that before.

Choke part I don't have are parts on motor.

More dash photos coming up...

Bow Wow

Surprized to have an outside day today.
Fitted up items on bow.
Windshield has a rubber seal that goes on bottom, and curve will be added when eveything tightens up.
So you will not see a gap at bottom.

Back to sewing...

Wow! VERY nice, man! I can't wait to see your boat in person! I love the windshield brackets. It almost makes me want a windshield now.

Now you need to get a Merc Mark 55 to go on that thing. They'r ered with a stainless band around them.

Doh! I'm sure you'll think of something. You could always use some sort of adhesive to bond it to a backing plate of aluminum, re-drill your holes, and rivet it back on.

Where is that Feathercraft? I just found out my boat is leaking through the transom seal, intead of through the bellows like I thought it was. I might be in the market for a new boat in the very near future...

Looks like its in Wisconsin, judging by the letters on the side of the boat. Quite aways from Austin but may be worth it rather than fix your current boat's troubles.

This thread is a curse 'cause I have been checking all the classifieds around the Southwest for FeatherCraft's. Wife says I'm crazy.

Same here, flyfshr. I love this thread, and I hate it too.

If you're just looking for ANY aluminum runabout-type boat and it doesn't have to be a Feathercraft, you could also search for the Lone Star boats that I mentioned above. There are often quite a few of them for sale in the Dallas area, since their factory wasn't too far from there. I see some on the Dallas Craigslist right now in fact.

You just gave me an idea...
Cut a round piece of left over red plexiglass a little larger, to encase it in.
Kinda like a protective cover.
Would be too kool if could make light up from behind...but is silver backed.
Will test for visabilty.

54 years it survived, and I bust it.

You're probably right-- I certainly won't take any offense. I don't own either an Airstream OR a Feathercraft...

...yet!

Hey Brad! You're not crazy! Restoring these boats goes a lot quicker than restoring a trailer... and it's marginally cheaper, too! haha!

Wow, no kidding.

flyfshr-- looks like you need to "Buy It Now" and get yourself up to Wiscy ASAP. $849 appears to be a bargain for these hulls...

Don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. Have enough projects around here, so sayeth the one who will be heard.

Featherlite

Not alot to share tonight, mostly MH work.
Found these neat LEDs for anchor light, may leave exposed, since globes are not out there.
Could make one from shot glass...but not this one.

Name the boat after your kids! Or better yet, your better half! Call it a tribute, and get in the game, man!
