Lookin' good! When you got the bow ornament on did you sit inside and look out over the deck going 'vrrrooooooom'? I would have!

ahhh, the hood ornament isn't on yet. I still need to fit it better. It's pretty cool. the late 50s models had this 57 chevy looking ornament/handle. Pretty neat!

Feater Floor

Plastic 'wood' was here today...
Did some quick measuring and dividing, cut some planks and just had to lay them in place to see.
Lots to still trim and fit, but look I wanted is there.

Have a couple of scrap pieces glued together with the new gorilla glue for a test.
May try a laminated transom and back board if tough enough.

You could make those seat tops hinged on one side, and give you loads of well-needed storage! Are you going to do them in the same wood as the transom?

Jail Bond

Yes on the floor...
Boards are just sitting there right now, not screwed down.
Was worried about mine getting lost in the crowd of FeatherCrafts that are going to show up.
Boards will follow contour of bracing, so it will not be flat side to side.
Kinda in a concave arch.
Plan to route the edges and thin gap between them, like as thick as a CD.
Want to get a close copy of MH interior with seats too.
Not sure if that will be done in time though.

Did some polishing with the new stuff...really is fun at first.
Need a full face mask, as I looked like a smiling hobo when I went to get the wife to show it off.

Hey...wheres that boat that was back here?

Trailer back!

I just picked up my parts from a buddy's paint booth. They look really good... especially for a boat trailer! This past weekend, I sandblasted the disassembled trailer down to bare metal, primed it, and put on 2 coats of the white I'll be using to redo the motor. It's a little whiter than the original, but I think that's ok. It's gonna shine! I still need to get the fenders located, then primed and painted, and the springs need a coat of gold as well.

I also just placed an order with McMaster for all new stainless hardware... $209 for BOLTS! ug... Dug out the box of new rollers I got off eBay a few months ago, and I should be ready to start reassembling the thing this weekend! Once it's all back together, the boat's going back on it. I'm having to assemble the trailer in a different part of the basement, since the boat and dolly are taking up the area the trailer's going to eventually sit in.

I need to get going on the barn! Running out of room and patience!

Got my trailer back today, put it together......realized the painter painted it the wrong color. What fenders were you looking for? If you are looking for the teenee fenders that these trailers have, I saw a website that had nos hub caps and possibly fenders. If these are what you need, let me know and I can find his website for you. If anybody knows what the little black trailer is, let me know. I have never seen one like it. Wally

oh man! Now I'm REALLY jealous! I spent a little time bolting things back together today. It's just loosly put together at the moment. Pics this weekend. Yours looks amazing, though! I would LOVE a real TEENIE. I'm not sure what make mine is. It had no fenders when I got it.

Yellow Moons

Cool trailer...
Really like the full moons.
Ordered a set of WWW and screw on moons....should be here Friday.

Heres a link to Mooneyes Equipment.
They have the 'Port-o-Walls' too!
Lots of other hard to find items, mostly automotive.

Oh...watched the movie 'RV' today...again.
Thought I saw a Vagabond stuck under MH when it comes out of the lake!
Was not a full bodied...but could have been a Feathercraft.
