Hey guys, I've located a 54 vagabond not too far from home. What do you think? I'm surprised it is open and does not have the divider behind the front seats.

I have been too busy with our toy business this Christmas season to even think about it! But now that things are slowing down I'm looking forward to digging in and seeing what needs to be done.
Not that it would prevent me from adding ANOTHER project that I don't have time to work on

I think that's a Ranger. they don't have dividers, and the rear quarters don't roll in quite as far as a Vagabond. Very nice boat, though! A little paint stripper would do it wonders! If I could snag a second, I would in a heartbeat!
I think I mentioned this earlier, but my boat was involved in a head on collision at some point. I replaced all the rivets along the front bow, and had to fabricate the corner of the nose piece (which was broken off). I still need to work with this piece a fair bit to get it to fit again. I'm using Scotch-Brite wheels and a high speed rotary tool to remove the aluminum. Works pretty well, but VERY time consuming! I need to reshape some of the aluminum at the nose as well. The Port side has a pretty big dent in it at the moment.
Here's the puncture wound, on the starboard side... I hammered it flat, and polished over it. I might leave it as "character", or get my buddy to weld it up, sand it flat and polish it smooth... time will tell.. it's good enough for now, though! This boat has PLENTY of "character" already...
Here are some photos of various boats and campers that we are working on or planning on working in the near future. I will get some photos of the tee nee and post them soon. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
The main reason I think it's a vagabond is the V is the first letter in the serial number, and the 54 is at the end. I am tempted to bring it home and worry about it later. I'm working on getting the hubby to agree The owner said his only other serious interest had come from buyers on the other side of the country. I've asked him to send a couple more detailed pics of the transom so I can see what's going on back there.
Wally, I had no idea there were boats with fins until I spotted my current runabout in the CL ads. You have a bunch of them there! I love it! I'm a big sucker for anything with fins
