Favorite just-set-up-camp now-relaxing phrase:

as you pour your favorite cold beverage and drop your rear into your chair:

"Wonder what the poor people are doing today?"

Yours?

First thing we need to do is drink two beers so the bottles will weight down the bottom of the trash can so it won't blow away.

Poor people don't care what we are doing. They care about where the money will come from for housing and food. My Father was born poor.

Wine bottles also work.

Like many of you, I head for a cold one. It's my *treat*.

After I wipe the sweat from my brow, I always mutter to myself "Why did I bring so much crap?" Then I look around and notice that I have 1/2 as much as my camping friends so I chuckle and walk over to offer my help...

But I always do the "where's my keys" thing. About 100 times.

Laura - who's looking forward to this routine again at my favorite spot in 9 days!

The joke being, WE are the poor people, but we're having a great time without a lot of cash.

"Ahhh.... mountain air!" Actually, this started when our daughter was little. Whenever we'd drive up into the Sierras to camp, we'd always come to a spot where she would stick her head out an open car window, take a deep breath and proclaim, "Ahhh... mountain air!" So now, whenever we're set up with our AS, we say.....

I did not take it that way given your stated location. That is an expensive area to live.

Great idea for a thread.

If I'm at the campground, in the chair, having a cold one....

"It's a '73".

Then they say "Really? Can we look inside?"

Then I have to get up, but I usually need another cold one anyway.....

Jim
