Wow! It's a lot noisier and shakier than I imagined. All those weird noises....creepy!

Every newbie should see this! Might save some broken bric-a-brac/dishes.

This wasn't the, uh, day of the morning after by chance? . . . some of those driver inputs lacking a bit of confidence.

And, of course, a tandem-axle 25' A/S would have spread the load over double the number of tires.

Fun with Yankees now out of the way: well-done.

One can see and hear AndyR/InlandRVs voiced concerns about "stiff suspension" and one is able to think a bit more clearly about ideal hitch rigging and tire pressure on both vehicles in this light.

And imagine that this is a conventional leaf sprung SOB trailer with no shock absorbers. If they don't rot apart, they shake apart. Most do both.

Sigh....
If you must know, it is the day after, the day after.
I am a little amazed myself when I see this. I was going 25 mph at best and the ride in the truck was quite nice (with the exception of those potholes on the dirt road....).

Without the unpaved road we'd have had a lesser video.

Imagine -- for anyone -- a bad road and a tired/sick/injured driver. Getting things right when all is good pays cash money, IMO, for when the worst is upon us.

When AndyR/Inland RV says that Airstreams want the softest ride possible it is meant also that unlike SOB's these are not disposable trailers, but deserve our best efforts at longevity.

This video is the best kind of contribution to an RV forum. You've my thanks (and to the DW).

Bookmarked.

I won't ever be as fast emptying the chambers as the legendary 2Airishuman when it comes to providing links, but I know a good'un when I see it.

When I log into the YouTube account that I posted this video to, it gives me a little message by the video that says "We detected that your video was a little shaky. Would you like us to help you fix that?"

Wow, this seriously had me laughing. Very creaky and noisy...even for a new unit. We should compare to an older rig.

Mr. Mod thinks he might try to take a nap in the AS on the next run. I don't think I could stand to sleep in the back seat let alone the ass-end. I think I'll show him this video. I have a feeling our 35 year-old sled might make even more noise.
Geesh, I just watched it a second time....kinda makes you wonder how the hell they even stay together!

Easier to understand why old torsion axles (5-years or 35) are never acceptable.

It also makes you want to reconsider how everything is packed!
