"Even a woman can do it..."

My favorite quote from the video! I must admit that I found this on a Tin Can Tourist Facebook post...
Had to share.

Bruce,

You do realize that you've likely touched the third rail with this! Best of luck.

Be very cautious, "gentlemen", very cautious, indeed.

At least the video said "Even a woman…" and not the more patronizing "Even a girl…"

Must be old. I don't think there are too many " shorthand typist" jobs around anymore.

Who said ''words can never harm me''? These words would send me to an early grave, as well as ''My mom used to do it........'' Even the thought makes me shudder.

Well, it's "of its time", and does at least demonstrate how far we've come. With equality, I mean, not scooter-borne tents!

A general observation about old photographs and videos- no one is overweight! I guess it was a time before fast food and microwaves and everyone was active or worked hard and there wasn't a lot of disposable income-

And yet the supermodels of the day weren't thin as a stick, either, except for Twiggy, of course…

I must be getting old. I was so fixated on the Vespa and wishing I could go back in time and bring it home, that I didn't even notice the ladies' details.

I noticed that the film clip was dated 1959. That's well over a half century ago. I guess that those ladies would have been considered quite progressive for that time. It is sobering to think that those young women in the film would be almost 80 years old today.
