I was on Ebay, when Ebay wasn't cool. Hey, an idea for another novelty song!

How many of you were on ebay before ebay even allowed names for accounts? I was originally assigned a 5 digit number (yep..less than 100,000 users at the time), I think I was fifty-thousand something.
Back then you could surf every item over the lunch hour. I used to search for "Martin Guitar" daily for days before anything would show up.
Things have indeed changed.

Geoff Ellis or Weird Al?
I don't know who Geoff Ellis is, but I swear I heard a lot of Weird Al Yankovic in that song - both the topic and the voice.
Thoroughly enjoyable to a long time eBayer and Weird Al fan.

Don,
It is so scarey. After all I once bought a 4 inch long antique brass stove brush on eBay.

It is Weird Al!
Now I really don't know who this Geoff Ellis is that posted this song on his web site. An internet search on "Weird Al" confirms that Weird Al penned and sang this fine tribute to the power of eBay.
