I bought an attachment to my Dremel to sharpen my chainsaw blade. The instructions tell me to power off the chainsaw before I start.
I think the other way would have been faster!

My favorite is printed on packs of desiccant, the little bag of silica that comes in boxes to keep things dry.

According to George Carlin that is the secret to long live...you eat the desicant packs in the vitamin bottles...I mean hey they put them in there to keep the vitamins healthy, right?

That was a marketing strategy from when shampoo sales slipped. The original instructions read "Lather, Rinse". They added the word "repeat" and instantly doubled demand for their product.
My favorite was on a chainsaw with instructions printed in a foreign country.

We rafted the local river today, and my sunblock (No-Ad) stated: "For external use only".

It does not apply directly to this thread, but on this very Forum is one that I found amusing.

Go to the User CP,then to Edit Profile. In the box where your birthdate is,reads "Please contact the Administrator if your date of birth has changed" .

Sorry, but I had to share this.

Who the heck is that? Or is it by any chance a reference to the late, great Sam Kinison? (He certainly didn't translate well to print, that's fer sure)

That's the guy. Guess I can't speel 2night. He was one funny guy. And you are correct, most of his stuff would never run on Disney Channel.
