Ok, last pics for me, I had a difficult time even finding the moon in the viewfinder. Hopefully, someone with better camera and weather might post some pics too. These were taken at about 9:45pm.

And by the way, thank you Alumatube for the thread! I would have liked to get a picture of the moon reflecting off our Airstream, but it's not polished...

our Airstream, that is.

Phil and/or Sue: They may not be a prime lunar eclipse viewing photos, but he ones with the clouds are very nice. I like them.

Wow, the clouds just broke enough to see this spectacle. COOL! But not quite as cool as your photos, Phil.

The clouds rolled in just before sunset so the photos are much appreciated.

Way cool pics Phil/Sue. I gotta get a better camera. Not enough light at totality.

I tried to get some pictures on the front end, but I could only see it from the goat pasture, and the goats kept unlatching my tripod legs, nudging it, and chewing on my coat! Pests! I'll try again when it starts coming out of the shadow, then it should be visible from non-goat infested areas

Pretty impressive to watch though.

Just came in from outside. Very cool...actually damn cold! We wrapped Collin up and took him out. My pics were not as good as Jim's so I didn't post them.

The moon is in the clouds now. I caught this shot just before it went away.

If you have even a small telescope, that little orange/yellow dot at the 8:00 o'clock position below and to the left of the moon is the Planet Saturn. A small telescope should resolve the rings enough to make it out. Unfortunately, we don't have even a small telescope (dang). A really good pair of binoculars will give you a faint outline of the major rongs. Check it out if you can.

Finally the clouds disappeared and there it was, part way through the cover phase. Wow, very neat.

My poor old telescope had trouble showing us the street light half way up the block - time for a new one. Double dang.

Great pictures everyone, thanks so much for sharing them.

About 1125 pm here in Maietta, GA. Clear skies... not sure the photo does justice.

Cool photos! We've got a great view here in Indiana. Not a cloud in sight.

Maybe not useful to viewers of these pictures posted, but when I magnify the same pictures of Saturn on my computer (like the photo in post #53) I can see the Saturn rings - albeit blurry. Pretty cool, though!
