Does forum slow down in winter?

Just curious how many users go into hibernation mode for the winter?

Does this carbonite make me look fat....

I've found this year that I've had a harder time posting in-season. Looking forward to the long nights around here on the forum. No axles or Marathons wearing out. Coordinating the weekly nitrogen raffles. Blocking posts from V-ger.

It seems to slow down some between now & New Years. The folks who regularly reply have the bug and I haven't found a significant dropoff in good feedback to those who have questions. Then starting in January we'll pick up people who are starting to check out Airstreams at winter RV shows. And the annoying thread from Florida asking for a summerizing checklist...

Interesting growth.
I would say that you have distinct seasonality there.

Myself, I'm worrying about Fallizing right now.

It is my experience that the useful and interesting posts drop off starting in June, when people are by and large on the road, and don't really pick up again until January.

That is interesting data. Two things I noticed: the lowest point in the year seems to happen right about now, and, despite the fact that a lot of people are out travelling, the peak is still July.

Perhaps the peak is actually because people are using them, and they find that
  • The hot water heater or refer won't work
  • they broke a water pipe when they winterized last year
  • The A/C won't cool
  • They need new tires, brakes, hitch
  • Or they just bought the TT, and don't have a clue how to get it on the road

Maybe I should have made a poll

As usual, I apparently go against the flow. About this time of the year I become more active until the weather improves again in the spring. With daylight savings and nice weather, I don't spend as much time with computer in the summer.
Ken

humor me, don't research my posts and prove me wrong.
