Cyndi Lauper - Airstream in Video
In the Cyndi Lauper - "Time After Time" that I just saw for the 1st time there is an older Airstream with flamingos. It has the door in a door setup so I am sure you guys can get the year real quick.
Here is the YouTube link:

Nice find.
I'll take a guess, and it's only a guess.............
1963 Safari?
....or does that say GlobeTrotter?
....or maybe it's a 196?

Ha..that video was the reason I thought Airstreams were cool before I knew anything about them! That was released back when I was still in high school...there, I'll date myself. It was released in 1985, and nothing anywhere actually verbally STATES it's an Airstream, how can you miss it? lol

If you look closely as the guy comes out of the door, you can see a "Safari" tag on the side. I'm not skilled enough yet to call a year. My husband thinks it's Jackson Browne in the bed at the beginning of the video (I had to ask who that was).

It's not Jackson Browne in the video...it was her boyfriend at the time, David Wolff, although he does have some striking similarities. I can't get a close enough look at the tag on the outside of the door...grrrr. Stupid YouTube. I do know the video was shot on the East Coast, as the diner one of the scenes was shot in is now closed but it was in Jersey not far from where my mom grew up-and it sure looks like fall in New England. Might I take a gander that it was an OHIO model? But what year? Good lord, this just takes me back...someone mention the original Journey already!!

Cyndi Lauper Trailer
I know this is an old thread, and I don't know exactly what year and model it is, but I know exactly where it is. When they made that video, they had found it on my grandfather's lot, and made arrangements for him to put it on site where the video was filmed. Then, he put it back on the lot and sold it. Of course, he told the buyer that the camper had been in a film, and that guy told everyone that would listen about it. He always kept flamingos in the yard too. Once when I was still too young to drive, my dad had to stay late to see if he could get the hot water tank working for them, and I was along for the ride. The inside looked nothing like whats in the video, but there was a nice place for me to sit and wait, and the guy offered me a beer if it was alright with Dad, and my dad said yes. First beer ever, in the Cyndi Lauper trailer. He told me if I didn't finish it, I couldn't have another, and I didn't, it was way too warm to drink by the time I gave up on it. Anyhow, he kept it on our campground thru the rest of the eighties, nineties, and I think into the 2000s. When he was done with it, I think he gave it to my uncle because he had it for a while, then a neighbor got it. I guess the innards were beyond repair at that point because no one camped in it after that, but it made a good chicken coop for a while. They pulled up the floor and laid down some mesh, and when it was time for cleanup, they'd just pull it forward. The last I saw it was probably about 2005, and they weren't raising chickens anymore, but I've heard they still have it. Wish I had some pictures or more information.
