Covering airstream

We just purchased a 1972 Airstream Safari. Can you cover them without damage and scratching? Found a source for Airstream covers, Calmark Cover Co. Any advice or suggestions? Mike

Conventional wisdom is a big no! Lots of threads on this here. Apparently a lot of scratching ad "etching" on the aluminum. Good luck!!

This was asked before - best answer was not to cover! I was in the process of buying a cover for winter since I have to park it outside in the rain and snow. The wisdom was that the wind on the cover would ruin the soft aluminum! Made sense.

I use shrink wrap to cover my trailer for the winter
Works great. No scratches

Its a product called shrink wrap.
Most people use it to cover there
Boats in the winter.its like a white tarp
But when you heat it it shrinks.

Do u shrink it yourself or have it done? Do u cut an area to still get in the trailer? I am intrigued by this, never seen it on any type of trailer.

So you should be able to get it. Any boat yard

I've seen boats in winter storage up in Tahoe marinas with blue shrink wrap.
