I have to share this. One of our field people mention, about a year ago, that there were two old Airstreams sitting in a field about an hour north of our office. Today I finally decided to cut out early and go see if they were still there. Boy were they. One is a mid 70's that's had a tree lay down on the curbside roof and crush the A/C.
There's a motor home there also but I don't know enough about them to comment.
The other is a 7 panel - single window on the curbside - with a round vent pipe coming out just above the tire. Didn't appear to have a rear tire carrier - the skin was really good. I'm thinking Caravelle or - dare I say it a Bambi. The poor thing is sitting there with the windows open

.
I couldn't get close enough to tell anymore for fear of getting shot. On the way back I checked with a local business and they told me someone used to live in the house but moved out several years ago. Then the place had an office in it for a few months. When I asked about the Airstreams they said - you mean those old junk trailers sitting back there - hell they can't be any good.
He gave me the County Auditors name so next week I'll do a little more research to see if the property is abandoned to a local bank or what.
Thanks for tolerating my rambling excitement - now I'd just need somewhere to store them.
