Colonial Airstream–Why Some Say They Sell 20% Of All New Airstreams

The wife and I just returned with our new 25 FB FC that we purchased from Colonial.

And now I think I know some of the reasons why they sell to so many.

My first contact was with Patrick Botticelli about two years ago. While we purchased our first trailer (a 2011 FC FB), I was impressed with Pat's product knowledge and his persona. But, being a newbie to the Airstream community, I wound up buying from a dealer much closer.

And then the "we need a larger trailer" bug stung us and my first impulse was not to call the nearby dealer, but to call Colonial.

After some back and forth, Sally and I had made a deposit on our new trailer with Colonial! And we had never had a face to face with the Colonial folks.

The wife was a bit apprehensive about buying a trailer after having seen pictures only, but reluctantly agreed.

Our experience of Friday the 22nd of Feb went beyond our wildest expectations! The entire staff of Colonial showed us that, not only was their product knowledge huge, but the entire organization CARED about the customer.

Having owned a business for over forty years, one gets a real good first impression of the health of a company by assessing the moods and personalities of its employees. What we saw (from the sales staff to the service person who reinstalled our Reese hitch) was a TEAM of folks who were dedicated to their jobs. AND were genuinely happy in doing what they did.

My hat is off to the entire group that we worked with last Friday! From Patrick, and his wife Lauren, to David, the general manager. And Kevin Amaro who did the "walk through" and Brian, the parts manager who sourced a couple of odds and ends for me and had them ready when we arrived.

I am now one of the many who now understand why folks will come from as far as the west coast to purchase from Colonial!

You guys are the BEST!

If all business in general was conducted that way we would all be "happy campers".

Keep the good news coming.

We have bought two Airstreams from Colonial, they are great and we recommend them to anyone looking to buy. It's a shame that not every Airstream dealer is like Colonial. We drove from Indy to New Jersey, because you can't get a Airstream local, even with the factory only being 3 hours away. They are #1 for a reason.

While I really like your label Bob, I think this is more appropriate.

I'd like to weigh in on Colonial. Everyone promptly returns all my phone calls and email. Their website is always current. The pictures and videos they take show the trailers in impeccable condition...no cardboard boxes, wrappers and bedspread still in the package. Their hard work and attention to detail has won me over. Someday we will be driving the 1700 hundred miles round trip to pick up a new airstream. I am confident Colonial's orientation will help newbies like us get through the learning curve quicker.

If we add your 1700 and my 2500 miles, it doesn't equal the drive the folks who picked up their trailer shortly after we did.

They came from the west coast!

I traded my old Airstream and bought my new one from a dealer very close to you . . . because it was a location close to me. Love the trailer, but the experience was something else. Glad to hear of your experience. If I ever feel the urge to trade again, I'll remember your post.

I suspect Colonial will be a more reliable experience then your previous, too.

C'mon folks
The last thing I need is for Patrick, Tony and the boys at Colonial to realize how great they are.

Thanks for all of this helpful information as I am purchasing an Airstream in 2014 and will be visiting Colonial sometime during the summer. Service, patience and honest pricing is everything to me.

Patrick and Lauren know their products inside and out. are about a sleepover because there are lots and lots of trailers to look at and walk through to help you decide. all my questions were quickly answered. :-)

Now, if I can just get you guys to call me Murrey! Mr. Walker sounds like you're talking to my parents.

I've got Kevin (QC at Colonial) calling me Murrey, so shape up you two! ;-)
