It isn't free, but if you want to stop pop-ups, control cookies, squash web bugs, keep your temporary internet files cleaned up, and leave nothing in your history or search history for anyone to look at, check out Smasher. That's what I use and it goes way beyond looking for spyware after it's installed. It stops it at the gate.

What exactly is "spyware" and what is "way beyond" it?
Speakin' of spy stuff, have you ever wondered just how private your PMs are on certain forum sites?
