And yes both rear ash trays are full of Double Bubble wrappers and Lolly Pop sticks put there by my DW and her older Sister many, many years ago.

The B&W photo taken a few years after she purchased the car.

The color was taken in October 1976 when we got the car, Bertha's last drive.

Snyder Ford the selling Dealer.

That is one sweet Mini S and still quite the hot rod that would surprise many bigger cars at a stop light!

Thnxs for posting.

I sure enjoyed the pictures of your Mini Coopers. It has always been on my list of cars that I would like to own. When I was in Junior high, my math teacher had a 1275cc mini cooper S that he drove in the winter time and a Porsche Speedster that he drove in the summer. He gave me a ride in the mini one day- just like being in a gocart- what a blast!

I remember the Kawasaki 500 3cyl, two cycle well and the Hyabasa- what a beast! Sound like you have the same problem I have- you take your time and buy exactly what you want and then keep it.

My two wheeled toys are an 86 BMW K75, a 2000 Ducati 750ss and a 2000 Triumph Sprint ST. I had a couple more old BMW's (74 R90 and an 81 R100RS) that I never rode, and I had to sell these so my wife would let me buy a new TV (08 Tundra). I will post pictures some time.

Looking forward to your posting pictures.

Boy, did you ever nail my mind set! I’ve found that if I carefully research my purchases I never tire of them and because I believe in totally “SPENDING” what I have carefully invested in I maintain and keep it forever. That being said, this logic simply does not apply to electronic gadgets.

The Kawasaki is like a steam engine compared to the Hayabusa. If you look closely to the Kawasaki you’ll see sitting on the seat “The Annoying Thing” to which there is a YouTube link as follows:
It gives you some idea of what it’s like to ride.

Love This Thread ! !

I know I already posted these pics, but couldn't resist posting again on this thread ! !
This is our 1957 Ford Custom and our 1959 Tradewind. Just got the car about 2 months ago, and so far, so good. We've only been on one weekend outing with the combo, but are heading out on a caravan at the end of July.

Used to be into classic cars;
Jaguar E-type, Citroën DS among others
but now it's all classic bikes of which I have a few
that I have build/rebuild.

Here's my latest:
An 1941 INDIAN engined supercharged Bonneville racer
that I build, put in a box

and air-freighted over the pond ( from my native Denmark )
to Bonneville

Didn't set no record but I'll be back this year with a vengeance.
Just finished modifying the engine and test running it.
Don't know how many of you have heard a 1941 type 741 INDIAN
running, ( put put put pop put put put pop pop )
but if you have, you'd know it sure as he** didn't sound like this:

Turn up sound and click: VIDEO

"OK MATE" indeed! I love that Mini, it's got it all!

Done tastefully in BRG with a white rood to keep yourself cool, I'm guessing.

Love the wheels, and nice details, down to the big running lights and hood straps.

I had two Minis back in the day. My first one was a BRG Morris Mini Van (commercial vehicle) with no rear windows or back seats, then an Austin Mini Estate, the little station wagon with the wood frame on the the back half and barn doors in the rear. A "woodie" in other words.

Wish I had had the smarts to keep the Estate, it was a beautiful little car.

"ghost car"

Read this article today about this 1939/1940 Pontiac "Ghost Car". The article was on AOL and stated the car is made of plexiglass for the 1939/1940 Worlds Fair in New York. It went on to say there may have been two made but this is the only known to still be around.

Body was molded by Rohm & Hass, the inventor of plexiglass, to show off the revolutionary new material.

I believe only 3 were built for a steel company in the 30's.
