Thank you! We are so excited!

It is actually on the west coast right now, and we have to find a reasonable way to get it back to Arkansas. Brad is currently on assignment out there and we can keep it at my aunt's. He is glad to have a project to work on while out there!

You're right, there are SO many neat vehicles on the west coast, Barry. I didn't really think about why. Your explanation makes good sense!

Wrong!

It's a 1949 Triumph 2000 Roadster. It was the last production car with a dickey (rumble) seat. We have an 1800 Roadster that is a year older:

Attachment 58541

but it needs much more done to it that will cost more than the purchase price of this one, so we got this one and put the other one up for sale.

This one runs and drives, and can be worked on as a rolling restoration. Yay!!!!

What's funny is we have friends who have these cars, and they say that they always get sent to the Rolls Royce section of the car show when they show up. It takes some hard convincing (usually a look at the badging) to make people understand it's not a Rolls.

Susan
Hi Susan,

It is gorgeous!!!
I take back my advice to take yourself out back and slap yourself around till you come to your senses. I want to ride in it. It doesn’t look like it needs much at all (lucky Brad).

Thanks, Vaughan! It's SOOOOO cool!!!

But yes, it unfortunately does need a bunch of stuff. Fortunately, it runs and drives okay and Brad is working on the brakes. Then it will be a running, driving and STOPPING car, which is very important. Case in point:

We will certainly take you for a ride when we find out how to get it here!

Hi, your Real Ford has a valve cover; It's called an intake manifold.

Our AS is the perfect destination

To arrive at with our '65 Sting Ray. No fuss with packing for an overnighter, just get in and go. Great roads up around our seasonal campsite in Bancroft, Ontario.
Fortunately reasonable road enforcement prevails, knock wood!

Some of the same roads, like this spot we took this picture at are used during the annual Rally of the Tall Pines races.
Really exciting racing in November!

Our TV, a '75 Silverado is period correct for the '79 AS and the '80 Baja it pulls.

Here is a link to my photo gallery of our site, the '75 Silverado and '65 Corvette. Anxious to finish off my '80 Baja and get it up there next year too.
