Christmas Lights on Your Airstream?

Does anyone put Christmas lights on their Airstream? Care to share pictures? I'm going to go pick up some LED lights and try to find some time this week to put them up. Hopefully I'll have some photos up next weekend!

Yup, I did. I used in mini lites because I had a ton of them. Wal Mart carries mini lite clear plastic mounting clips. They are held in place with about a 1/2" square foam tape between a 1/2' square base on the clip to the aluminum. I had to really clean the aluminum where the tape is to go. I had a little trouble keeping them fastened then I bought some 3M double tape and replaced that which came with the clips.

I see these 'old' aluminum C-Trees are baaaack. As a boy in the '40s I remember a neighbor placing one in their front window.....on a turntable.....and a revolving color wheel projecting Christmas colors upon it. It was tacky then. So when I saw one in Wal Mart last year I bought one for the Airstream. That's what is in the window in my picture. My taste level has improved with age.

Jason, see post #2 above. Neil describes how he attached them. I'm going to experiment with mine this weekend to see what works.

If you don't like your neighbors, it might be a way to ensure they do not remain your neighbors.

Just for fun we decorated our Silver Princess. I posted them in the Gallery under 60's airstream. Haven't figured out how to incorporate pics in the posts yet.

Well, I found time to string some lights. I need to find my tripod so I can take a picture when it is darker.

Ooh pretty Cameron! Great color and choice of bulbs. (PS trick--lower the exposure and make it dark outside.)

Danny you have made your AS so sweet so fast. Your sign is so funny! My son's favorite Holiday movie. It's called an AR-Vee.

Terry love the aluminum tree and Neil nice outside light, like how you strung them too.

Fun thread!
