LED lights for Christmas

Hi Cameron,

Handsome lights!!! We still need to put up our white LED lights which have an icy blue glow to them. I will be combining them with some orange LED lights bought during Halloween. Small office binder clips and twist ties attach the lights to the awnings and various brackets to avoid scratching the clear coat. Last year while out in the desert, we were surprised how much brighter they were as compared to the mini-lights used on the other SOBs in the campground. The trailer looked like a massive ornament as the light reflected off of the aluminum. Bill is working on a post with photos for the ASL On-line Community.

Larry, I look forward to pictures. My attachment technique is less refined. Duct tape.

Hey, FreshAir!!! I REMEMBER those aluminum trees with the rotating wheel!! Wow!! My husband and I were talking about that last night....I don't have lights on my AS right now....Am doing Hannuka as well as Christmas for my family!!! WE do both! Hey, I would love to get some flamingo's that are lit...Does anyone know where I can get these?
I already have two pink flamingos, but my little nephew bent their legs outta shape and made them handicapped...I am keeping the little critters though!!!
Let me know where to get the 'fancy lit flamingo's'....

We are going to Ft. Wilderness next week and EVERYBODY decorates their campsites there. We have a few inflatables and some Christmas colored Mickey Icon awning lights to go up, too. I'll take some photos and post them when I get back.

I just love your Christmas Pix. I have my second one of yours on my desktop background now (#3). It doesn't hurt to have the same year and model ;-). Thanks for sharing them!

Tim,

We're honored. We are, of course, looking forward to putting up one of your project shots as our computer background in the very near future.

Hi SuEllyn,

I did this light show for a New England Unit rally. It is my own home made design, and I really did it the hard way, without a computer. I would not recommend this approach.

The easy way to do it is using a commercial controller from Light-O-Rama Light-O-Rama. Control lights, music, and special effects.. It has hardware that is designed for outdoor use, and powerful software to sequence your displays. You can even buy pre-sequenced shows, just add lights. You can buy a system with a small number of channels, and add more later as your budget permits. A basic system of 16 channels is about $450. My show used 48 channels.

I also did a halloween show for which I did use a computer:

Airstream Halloween Light Show on Yahoo! Video

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM.

Good Luck,

Keith
