Cell Phone, spam, scam, or virus?

Hi, I was going to put this question on Facebook, but there are more people here and I think you will have better answers, experience, or opinions. Or am I paranoid about nothing.

Here's the deal; twice my cell phone got a text/picture? Both times the size of the download were the same. Both times, there was no name or phone number shown. And no-one has asked me why I didn't respond to the picture that they sent to me.

Is this a scam, spam, or possibly a virus. Or am I just being too careful of the unknown. I did not open or download these; I deleted them. Can someone out there solve the mystery?

That message can be displayed for a few different reasons. My experience with it dates back to when I had issues with data access on an AT&T phone that was not setup for text messaging but was authorised for internet use. Shortly thereafter I switched carriers and have never seen it again.
