On the other hand......

In my architectural office, I've worked on countless canopies. Many of them were bank canopies very similar to this one.

I would be VERY embarresed if that happened to one of mine! I know that trailer had a lot of mass, but NO WAY should that assemble have failed like it did. Stop the video when the column fails. Where is the steel! It seriously looks like there was only a gravity joint holding the roof down.

Also, in the photos, check out the clean break between the canopy and the building. I would have expected this to really tear up the wall, but it didn't.

I'm gonna bet that the bank/contractor/architect/engineer is gonna owe this guy a new truck, camper, & underwear....
