Canopy

How big of a canopy do I need to get of if I own a 1963 airstream Globetrotter - 9ft tall, 8 ft wide, 19 ft long (w/hitch) / 16ft cabin length. I was looking at a 10 by 20 or 12 by 20 but are a little nervous of purchasing one and then it being too small..

Do you want a vintage style slide in or manual opening awning? Call Zipdee and seek their counseling. They have a work sheet that is filled out to place an order for the proper opening awning if that is what you want.
If you want a slide in awning google "vintage trailer awnings" for links to sources.

Now I understand. I had portable garage that was 25X10. Used it for several years until I got tired of putting a new cover on it every year. I never found a tarp that could handle the UVs for more that a year. I would consider a fiberglass or metal covering if I was going to mess with it again. Better yet an all season pole barn. What ever you decide I would recommend giving yourself plenty of room to work overhead and around the trailer.
