Camping Backpacking....I'm soo excited!!!

Not really practical,,but I bought one of my small wishes Yesterday.I will use it for when we go hiking, though.

It is a saddleback Leather Backpack in Tobacco. I cannot wait to scratch it up, use it and pass it on to my son when I pass.

Here is a Link:

Leather Backpack

Buy the Best, Cry once!

Nice! These are my favorite:

Packs - Camp & Hike - Outdoor Gear :: Duluth Pack :: Made in the USA :: Quality leather and canvas luggage, backpacks, camping, and outdoor gear,

Been in business 130 years! I have a #4 Monarch Canoe Duluth pack.

Nice selection dznFog, but for a all Leather backpack,,,,Saddleback can't be beat. I have done my homework. This has been on a wish list of mine for years.

Love to see others Favorites.

All leather, non-breathable = not good for canoeing. Different purposes...I would NEVER backpack with my Monarch. Duluth does make some all leather daypacks.

Will it be beat when I'm sprinting up the mountain past you with my 2lb Osprey Exos that holds 46 liters and yet has a frame?

Just kidding, although I use that pack for backpacking extensively and love it to death, there is a place for everything, and as far as having a nice general use backpack, that leather Saddleback looks like superb quality. It would outlast pretty much everything except for our Airstreams.

A manpurse with western flair, Shane! I know it'll match those lace Ropers and fringed gloves Santa brought last year.

There is some beautiful leather out there. Take a photo or two for us when you first use it. Add it to the insurance list. Seriously, looks great.

I keep looking at mil-spec stuff such as the GO RUCK GR2 as I need something to also fit in a larger duffle like the Maxpedition Sovereign for work (truck driving, 3-4 days on the road). A bag big enough to hold all the other bags (food, clothing, misc supplies, radio, etc). Then, for camping, something like the GR2 to hike with (or for air travel). Whatever I wind up with has to truly be all-purpose.

Yeah, I was about to volunteer to drive up to Arlington for a slap or a punch. You Ford drivers make it hard to resist tail-tweaking. Okay among Texans usually, but them guys from farther north should be extra careful.

Nice thing about leather and wood, they gain scars of honor with time.

Indeed. I discovered BookBook products when I bought my first Mac earlier this year, and then discovered I could put my phone in leather and get rid of my wallet at the same time:
BookBook for iPhone - BookBook for iPhone - Twelve South

And after only a few months, I have some pretty nice signs of love and honor on my phone case.

So, true. May I add well patina-ed waxed canvas?

They're gorgeous!

You can't go wrong with leather, and they make you smile every time you look at or touch them.
