Camp Chairs

If my memory serves me correctly, it wasn't that long ago that the tube type of folding chairs were built with no arm rests. Just a sturdy tube frame with a good poly seat and back. Light weight, sturdy and comfortable. Then someone figured out a way to add arms and soon followed cup holders. What ever happend to the old style armless chairs? I have Googled and search and can not find armless tube folding chairs anywhere except LL Bean. Ordered three of their chairs, they arrived last night and must be for very short people. The chair was low to the ground some where between a normal camp chair and one of those low beach chairs. Has anyone seen a good folding camp chair that is light weight well built with no arms?

Something like this in mind. Still looks sort of low to the ground.

Do you need it to roll up into a bag? I found this at amazon. I haven't seen it in person, but we've had good luck with Coleman products.

Cool Slim Pickins

These ain't too uncomfortable for fireside pickin' n strummin'.
Even a banjo player can figure out how to use one of these.

I have found them for sale at the Grey Fox bluegrass festival. I buy a few every year I go. I found this site that sell them but you got to buy a bunch of them. It does say you can order a sample. Maybe we could get some Airstream pickers to order the min amount with Airstream printed on them.

Good morning Brad- Where at Grey Fox did yuo find them?As a major Sponsor of Grey Fox we are there every year but I just can't picture where the chairs are being sold. We actuall need to replace our folding Grey Fox chairs, small world. Also, our newest member of the family, OZ loves getting up into the last armless chair we own. Right now it is the perfect chair but he will be a big boy when he gets older. Look for the four Airstreams parked together on the corner of Scruggs flying the Grey Fox Flag.

I agree that the roll a chair is comfortable. And light weight, easy to carry around. I bought one at LL Bean about ten years ago. High quality and US made.
Roll-a-Chair

How about zip dee? Pricey but nice. And they may match your awning.

also there are always aluminum/web yard sale specials.

Yes I remember you guys at Greyfox. I picked with a female mandolin player that was in your group. I found those chairs in a vender tent that sells camping stuff near the masters tent. This years lineup is going to be great. Look for me in my 91 350 LE.

We should see if we can a group order. I would take 3 chairs too. Can't have enough picking chairs around a camp site.
