That cable is so inexpensive that I would not repair it but would replace it.
Take the positive connector to your battery off so that when you pull the pin on the emergency brake off it does not activate the brakes. Take the pin and the remains of your cable to a mom and pop hardware store and ask them to sell you a length of plastic coated stainless steel wire rope of the same diameter as the original. They can to all the crimping of the connectors and send you on your way.
I did the same when mine started looking trashy. Cost me about $11 total, wire, crimps and time.
Look at it this way, if it broke that easy then what will it do in an emergency situation. Replace it.
