Bottle Opener!
Am I the only one who would like to suggest that Airstream builds a bottle opener into the side of these things. C'mon folks, it's after 5 here at Bluewater, I got dinner in a couple hours at Louie's Backyard, and the last thing I need is to go traipsing into the camper, releasing all that air conditioning, just for an opener. Consider it a "green" thing.
Just a thought, greetings from the Keys, day 5 :-)

Switch to cans, it's safer.
Saw a guy die once in a bottle opener accident. His whole life was sitting in the basement drinking beer and watching television.
The bottle opener was at the top of the stairs, as was the refrigerator.
When we got to the scene it looked like he had done a half gainer off the top step.

Outside bottle opener on tin can
I love it, especially the anchor emblem. Great idea.

If you don't want to rivet one to the side of the Airstream, try riveting one to the side of your cooler. I remember seeing some of the old tin ice-chest that had them riveted just behind the lift handles on the side and I have also seen them riveted just below the lid latch.
If you mount it to your cooler, you will always have it handy when you need it...even when not camping.

Get your bottle opener here:

and rivet it in a convenient local. :-)

Great Idea
What goes better with a retro trailer than a retro bottle opener.I bought an opener last year and have not mounted it as yet. there are alot of quality beers out there that do not use a twist top. I have thought about doing some homebrewing and the bottles I will use will have crimped on tops. nothing like an ice cold bottle of beer. Don

M. R., that's a good one.
I've seen many church keys hanging on hooks. Can't imagine a kitchen without at least one of the double-ended openers, with a bottle opener on one end and a can opener on the other.

H Allen Smith told the story of an old man who lived in a fishing camp an hour's walk from the nearest store that sold beer. About once a week he would walk to the store and buy a case of beer. On the way home he would get tired and thirsty and stop to rest and lighten his load. Usually by the time he got home he was carrying an empty case.
One week he forgot his bottle opener and had to walk all the way home, carrying a case of beer without being able to get a drink! Torture!
This made him good and mad. As he had nothing better to do, he spent the next week scrounging up all the bottle openers he could find. Then he walked to town with a hammer and a pocket full of nails, hanging openers on trees at strategic intervals.
After that he never got home with anything but an empty case *hic*

How about adding it to one side of the tongue? I have seen several folks bolt a kikkerland bottle opener (get it at restaurant supply place or amazon for about 5 bucks) onto one of the frame members.

Put it on the tongue. It's a handy location and you can place a small bucket under the opener to catch the tops.
Had to add lil bucket...

Lee, how many cases of "Pepsi" does it take to fill the bucket with bottle caps?
