We do not have an RV yet. (Fulltime next May ?) We don't know how to camp, so we stay at a hotel when we go. We have always envied the folks who were camping at bluegrass festivals and that motivated us to investigate RV's.

I look forward to May!

I camped at Rocky Knob on the Blue Ridge Parkway last summer when I went to Floydfest. It is only about 5 miles from Floydfest. Lots of room and very quiet. Most folks that camped there went to Floydfest. I plan to camp there again this year. No hookups but they do have nice restrooms, although no showers.

Here are photos of my Airstream at Rocky Knob Campground on the BRP and also of a Serro Scotty (retro) camper.

Where the grass is blue

Hey y'all,
We have been discussing a bluegrass rally and some of the festival listings on the thread 'Airstreams and banjo's' , check it out. Verrry interesting!
Seems like lots of us like similar stuff, apart from being alumaholics I mean. I can't wait to have my baby all fixed up and on the road, banjo carefully stowed, on the way to meet some of the folks I have only chatted with online.
Our first trip will be the crooked road, but first I have to build a house for one of our offspring. We have three grandchildren due this spring so...... no wanderlust for us this year.

We go to the High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival in Westcliffe, CO. LOVE IT!! It's a must if you are near there the first part of July. It's a fundraiser for their EMS.

One of our favorites and we stay at Grape Creek RV Park right there in Westcliffe.
