Biggest Harvest Moon in 28 years

The Harvest Moon this year will be on the eqinox Sept 21. First time in 28 years. This will also make it the biggest Harvest Moon in 28 years, or so I was told. Hope you are camping I will be.

Wow! We'll be somewhere in Nevada cruising south on 95. Thanks for the tip! Will post pics; I'd bet we'll be down around Death Valley, should be great.

Something is wrong here, the equinox is on Sept 22 and the full moon is on Sept 23.

I think the point is to be in a spot to to face east. October is usually a great moon, too.

So I looked it up. According to the US Naval Observatory the equinox is 9/23 exactly at 9:04 UT which is pretty close to 3:04 am MDT at which time I plan to howl.
