They are Brussels Griffons. I volunteer with the American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance, I foster and do transports for them. So far I've been a foster failure four times, adopting them instead!

I call them my "Chewies" after Chewbacca.

We were staying for several days at a State Park on the edge of a small town. Our next door neighbors were a couple, perhaps in their mid to early 50's with a higher end SOB motorhome and seemed friendly enough.

Early one evening I was sitting outside reading a book when a car pulled in and parked at a vacant site across from the motorhome. An attractive young lady with a small suitcase got out and went inside. My first guess was that their visitor was a friend or relative that lived in the area and had come to spend the night.

However, shortly after she went inside the motorhome, my neighbors closed all their blinds. Perhaps an hour later, the young lady departed, suitcase in hand, hair slightly ruffled, and was never seen again. An escort called in perhaps from a larger city nearby for some entertainment?

But I thought SAC was the best. My first day, on my first duty station, I was treated to a B-52 rapid launch, followed by the tankers. AWESOME!
