Mine was the Adirondack - which one did you want?

The price of the remaining onel has dropped by $50K That tells you a little on how steep the mark-up was.

My favorite was the Adirondack too...did you get to it first?!?

Actually, I thought they were all nice...if they were to just sit in a backyard as a guest house ~ not very practical for real "campers".

Hmmm...the links in the thread I started (a long time ago) seem to be broken. Maybe they sold the last one ~

If I had a spare $150K I would have considered it - but someone else beat both of us to it.

They must have sold the last one or something because the website is gone. It was there as recently as last week. DARN! It was gone before I got a chance to snatch the pictures off the site!

Both your link and a Google search brought me to his philanthropy foundation site.

Oh well!

Goin - I can't tell you how much I admire your decision. Most folks I know, including myself, always came up with VERY good reasons to postpone such a large, fun oriented, purchase - all the normal things like homes, cars, kids, educations, etc. and usually have regrets. Whereas you & yours are following a motto of a good WBCCI friend & his wife - "Make memories, not regrets". They followed that motto religously, raised 2 wonderful girls, travelled all over N. America, took cruises, even thru her 14 year battle with cancer. I doubt your will ever regret your decision.

My Aussie friends would say "Good on ya mate!!"

My greatest fear is that "Airstream only, no exceptions" membership policy in WBCCI will not be upheld.

I don't know if I'm actually AFRAID of anything, but I'm concerned about many things about my AS.

I had better tires put on it.
I had a TPMS installed.
I put a big door in the barn so it had a place to hide out of the weather.
I covered the floor around it with mothballs and mouse traps.
I baited the rest of the barn with mouse and rat poison.
I check it every other day or so. Bodie the wonder dog checks it, also.

I don't know what else to do. I hope it's OK for the winter.

Now when Spring comes around, I'll have a whole new set of worries.
Isn't it fun, having a big toy to worry about.

We did all of that plus plugged in a couple of the audio mouse deterrents. And worry!
