Hitting a gas pump as I turn while pulling away.

Dang this thing swings!

Heres a good substitute for diet pills...I'm getting woosy just thinking about it.

I was looking at campers and trailers again. I want to buy an Airstream, but I don't want to buy a big truck to pull it. I am going to go look at an Airstream motor home in the next week or so. I have traveled around the country in a van, but I want more room. My dad had an Airstream when I was a kid and that is one reason that I like them.
Does anyone have strong feelings about the Airstream motorhomes? When our kids were young we had a great time in a class A motorhome camping almost every weekend.

Welcome Eliz.
There are many people with Mohos on this forum. Maybe you could start a new thread and ask this question. They might not see it here.

You can't go wrong with an Airstream!

My first fear was hail. I say was because now it's break-ins.

Two mohos owned by people in my neighborhood were broken into last week. Both were being stored at the Stage Coach RV park in Rio Rancho (NM). In addition to several items of value being taken, both of the RVs were trashed and extensively damaged.

The night before last they hit one of the Guardian Storage lots also in Rio Rancho. We are planning on storing our AS in one of their lots when we get it in a couple of weeks. I understand there has been a recent rash of RV burglaries throughout the Albuquerque metro area. This whole thing sucks.

I don't care what our homeowners association says to me - our trailer is staying in our driveway until this blows over!

1. Finding more silicone during restoration than you than you thought you had!
2. VTS Visa bill!
3. Someone breaking a part ('56 Bargman door latch) made from unobtainium - twist, don't lift!
4. Tire blow-out
5. Hail

But Shari - aren't #s 1, 2 & 3 considered to be part of the "joys of vintage"?

No...the joy of vintage is Post #4

I love it when a stranger acknowledges all our hard work! "Do they still make those?"
Great way to meet people wherever we go ~

Besides, #2 is still less than a new one ~

Unless you buy a Ralph Lauren model already "restored"

But I imagine number 3 from your first post is still pretty frustrating - parts made of unobtainium are so hard to get these days!
