Lew,
I want to see the Beaver. I did a quick search and all I find are the newer (98 seems common) longer ones. Hope to see you sometime this summer for a solar install on our motorhome.

Sounds like a '60's sitcom.. ("My three son's"?).. I'd like to see the Beav too! And of course, the build up...
Nice hearing from you Lew!

For a diesel motor home, it's kind of 'cute' in a way. I full-timed in a 40 footer for 5 years, and this has almost the same layout, but a much shorter wheel base, which makes it very maneuverable.

Original condition shots soon..........

LEWSTER,

Sorry to see you defect! We never did cross paths, but I finally got the Zip-Dee awning you sold me installed on the Overlander last fall, after hanging it in the rafters of the shop for a couple of years. Thanks for that purchase and advice.

Since we did that deal, I've built two Pygmy kayaks and Hood River is even more attractive than it was the first time we PM'd. Maybe there's still an opportunity for a hello in the future.

Happy trails,
Zep

Hey Zep,

I was scheduled to be a presenter at the 4CU restoration Rally in a few weeks, but had to cancel due to a death in the family.

Let me know if you'll get to Hood River anytime from July 1 thru mid Sep't.

Well, Lew, we knew this was happening...and we're both happy and sad ...happy for the successful the sale and on your new "ride" direction. While we will miss you as a fellow Airstream owner (the sad part), you remain high on our list, and we know you will always be an Airstreamer at heart. Thanks for all the good help you've provided, and we look forward to seeing you and the new rig soon!

Hey Terry,

It was tough to see the Bambi pull away. Now the real work begins.....bringing the '96 Beaver Patriot back to it's mechanical excellence and then.....THE INTERIOR!!!!

Thinking about a 50's diner theme. Black, white, red, stainless, aluminum We'll have to talk.....especially if you are at the Balloon Fiesta. It just might come out looking like an Airstream after all!

Lewster--
You haven't left us because you just changed your ride. I always figured to meet up with you sometime since we are "almost" neighbors. I live in Union and travel to Portland quite often and you happen to be along the way for at least part of the year. Stick around. We appreciate your insight and experience.
Perhaps we will meet in the future.
Sam

Lew, good luck to you and your new home on wheels. Don't be a stranger and thanks again for the great advice on all things electrical. See you at the Balloon Fiesta in October.

Traveling through the usual and unusual of southern Utah, I haven't had the internet connection to respond yet -- and I must. Lew, I've known where to reach you and refer members-in-need your way. Thank you for being so outgoing and fair in offering your help. (nothing is past tense here) AIR is what it is -- a sincere gathering of individuals looking to learn and share -- understanding all the way that every bit of advice needs a second thought and review. Your advice has always been top notch!

To anyone reading. Lew has a past at AIR that is still here. Go to advanced search. Place lewster in the 'Search by User Name' field. At 'Search in Forums,' select a forum area of interest; eg, refrigerator, air conditioning, plumbing or whatever. Select 'Show Results as .. Posts' and click 'Search.' You'll find a very good background of solid information.

Airstream ownership is a state of mind -- and 49 other states make up the Union. You have made what sounds like a good step for your business. Thank you Lew!
