I remember selling a ton of those back in '86 ... for $2495!!! If you wanted an extra Megabyte of RAM .. you shelled out another $995!!!

SuperMac 40XP (40MB) hard drives retailed for $1995!

I sure don't miss the good old days.

I remember designing 11x17 double-page spreads on those nine-inch screens. Took 45 seconds to one minute just to redraw the screen after making a change. I loved MultiFinder. I could switch from FreeHand to PageMaker without quitting either app, all in 4 MB RAM! And we stored an entire semester's worth of newspapers on a 40 MB hard drive.

Now I'm bummed that my 4.5 year old dual processor G4 with 1 GB RAM only has four hard drive trays.

Oh well, at least it is driving two LCDs.

A sort of multfinder is back in Panther....

Not to date myself, but I still have in my inventory of old doorstops:

Apple //c

Apple IIgs

Mac SE/ 20 with extra RAM and accel chip (KEWL) Still works great and keeps time on a dime even after years of not being turned on.

Atari 2600

TI99 4a with tape storage cables

Just pitched my Laserwriter 2...died.

ImageWriter 2

External 5.25 Unidrive

Shoeboxes of 5.25 Apple 2 software

G4/500 Powerbook Ti (retired--sort of)

Miles of local talk cables!

I knew a few folks that made fishtanks out of their old 8" portal window Mac and Mac Plusses.

MultiFinder in Panther? Even better, it's multi-user friendly. I love being able to log out without quitting my apps. Keeps my wife from cluttering my desktop with all the icons she loves to scatter around. Panther rocks.

I remember seeing a few of those fish tanks. Even saw one made from a Lisa.

modern art- send it to a museum, or sell it as such.

How about a Halloween prop? Do I see something on the screen? Is it actually still working? Wow!

Maybe a high-tech wheel chock? (trying to keep this thread Airstream-related)

Put it on it's side and you'll have a wind block when starting a campfire.

It was in a house fire.

Not sure how it started.

I wonder if the computer's "FireWire" cable http://www.apple.com/firewire/ had something to do with it?
