Anyone recommend a Weber Baby Q 100?
We need a BBQ for two; the Weber Baby Q seems like it would fit our needs.
For about $150 I can get the cart and the Baby Q 100 from Amazon.com

Silver Q
We've had a medium Q (silver) since June and I have nothing bad to say about it, although I don't have the cart. Looked at it and decided it looked to flimsy to last long, besides we always have a table available to use.
Q does a great job of as long as you've not trying to cook a whole bird, as the lid is too shallow to allow for anything larger than a quail. Excellent for steaks, chops, burger and brats.

We have a Baby Q from 2004 and really love it! It is such a great grill for two and even when we have friends for a bbq it works great for 4 people. We wouldn´t like to miss it!

Weber Q 220(?)
We have the larger Weber Q grill. Maybe the 220?
We used it extensively in Colorado this summer, and most recently at the beach on South Padre.
We quickly learned to get something larger than the small screw-on propane tank that normally is used for torches. They're only good for a couple of meals. We got a normal size bottle, as we anticipate lots of use and lots of boondocking.
We've been quite happy with the grill. Two comments:
1. there's nothing for the juices to drip onto and vaporize, which is the source of much of BBQ flavoring. It just drips down to the bottom and into the collecting pan. Therefore, this thing is more like pan-frying but outside without the mess.
2. In high winds (20mph+) in South Padre, it didn't get it hot enough to sear the seafood we were cooking. I actually had to move the whole thing to the lee of the trailer and then use an old rag to block the upwind vent.
On the latter, I'm not sure our bottle of gas wasn't running a bit low.
All in all, its been a good grill.

Holland
I have a friend we camp with who has a Baby Q and LOVES it. I recently bought a Holland Grill. I LOVE it.
Guess it boils down to how ya gonna use it, how often, and personal preference.

Was hoping to convert it to the larger tank that I have used with my Kristline that has "given up the ghost". Actually the regulator (2nd in 10 years) is not now available and a generic from BBQs Galore does not give me a blue flame.
Thank you people.

Kistler -
We love our Baby Q. We just got one this last summer and it's perfect for our family of four. We paid $99 for the grill and $35 for the cart. The cart is a must - folds up very well and can be tucked out of the way and makes cooking anywhere so convenient!
Happy Thanksgiving!

love our baby-q, fits perfectly in the trailer and cooks food very quickly. The only complaint is that it is a bit tough to clean after cooking.

Love it!
We love our BabyQ. We have had it for about two years and it works great. It was getting kind of grungy so I just pressure washed it and it's almost like new again. I use it with an adapter to a refillable propane cylinder. I just bought a cart for it for $35 and I like that too. Now I can use it under the awning when it's raining.

Great Grill
What a great grill. The cast grate soaks up the heat and cooks meats very quickly vs a wire grate grill. We can cook 4 to 8 meals on one short squatty gas cylinder depending upon what we cook. We plan to get a connection to use the trailer LP instead of the small throw away tanks this Spring. If I had it to do over I would buy the larger Q, it uses the same folding stand and has the detachable side shelfs that give you a clean work space compared to some of the picnic tables, but we were towing a 22' CCD with a Cherokee and needed to be space efficient at the time.
Buy one, you won't regret it which ever size!

Baby Q!
We were given a Weber Baby Q as a trailer warming present when we bought our Safari. We don't leave home without it! I run a line off our propane tanks from a T, so we never run low on fuel and I also use one of those $8.00 folding aluminum tables from Wal*Mart. We have several of the little tables, they fold flat and weigh nothing. When we were at JC they actually had to Weber cover for our Baby Q so we bought it..
PROS: Cooks really great! Light weight. Cool design.
CONS: Smells up the truck. Gets dirty fast.
When we are not at a camp site we put the Baby Q in the back of our Tahoe, hence the smell. I think we use to many sauses, rubs and marinades, so we can mess our up pretty quickly. Oven Off makes a spray cleaner for grills and it works great on the Baby Q. On our cross country I think we used the Baby Q no less than 20 nights on the trip and it never failed us. Great Grill.

We like our Baby-Q also. Just the right size for a 19' trailer and 2 people.

Do you have any pictures of your "T" setup. I'd like to be able to hook our grill to our propane tanks.

Brad, I haven't "T'd off" the trailer tanks I just converted the small bottle that my Kristline came with to the larger tank (exchange type) with a hose. I think I'll use the small bottles on the road when RVng.
