Ummmm, I think they have the wrong RV on the tall trailer?? The boat should float, the Airstream will not. Talk about a case of floor rot! And it looks like it was kept in nice shape

Maybe it's a prototype for an Airstream houseboat! Wouldn't that be cool? Just bolt on a couple of pontoons and an outboard. Then you could catch your dinner through an open window while sitting at the dinette.

Looks like the water is just deep enough to ruin everything that can be ruined by water

Natural distaster
That pic reminds me of our trailers during the storm surge from Hurricane Isabel. We live in eastern NC. If the trailers hadn't been parked in the high end of the yard they would have been very water logged. Salt water was lapping on the belly pan. Did a number on the rims. Got to some of the insulation.
Where is that pic from? What type of flood was it?
I have some great pics of the Beaufort waterfront taken from a rooftop during the eye of the storm!!! I can post them if any one want to see them.

Not sure of specific location
This image came up when doing an image search in Google for "airstream". Here is the site I got it from. Best I can tell, it occurred in 1997. California/Nevada maybe... Mentions Walker River Canyon..

thanks for the link
coriolis1, thanks.
That happened around Reno NV by the pics. IT shows another old Aluminum trailer floating down a river. Someone mentioned a Airstream house boat. It has been done. There was one anchored in Beaufort for a while. I think it was an Argosy motorhome body put on a homemade floating platform. The side windows were replaced with bigger plexi windows that wrapped up around the roof curve. They had window boxes inside to grow thier own vegetables. Not the prettiest thing, but very interesting.

But watertight doors are mandatory. Remember the Titanic.
