Any Ultravan fans here?

Well, I guess this fits in the off-topic forum. I love airstreams to pieces (even though i have yet to own one, which will eventually change), but also love Ultravan motorhomes. Just wonderin' if there were any other ultravan fans here...Here's a link for info. http://www2.onu.edu/~kwildman/ultraVan.html

Whaddayou think (if you havent heard of them)?

Oh, and what type of gas mileage do airstream motorhomes tend to get of the same approximate size? Ultavans get about 17-20mpg I think.

Just wonderin...

I almost bought one but went with a Airstream trailer instead. I think they would be fun, but one would have to fall in my lap for me to own one.

Try Corvair Clubs and Forums.

As a former Corvair guy, they enjoy hanging with Ultra Vans (Corvair Powertrain..).

Most of the ones still in existence and still running are in need of lots of care and attention, but they are cute and round and made of aluminum...

Driving my Classic AS motorhome thru N Ga some years agop i ran across a group of three or four of those running together. It was the first time I had seen them, and they were sure cute..small and light. No match for the classic aluminum beast though.

We saw this one at the azroundup earlier this year. The inside was done with the flame look also, very cool! They also had a motorcycle with a corvair engine.
