Try again. An out of control arm made me hit the send button by accident. I did not try your link for fear of disappointment. But I do have two un solved "where is this" photos and I am pretty sure you have been to both places. Jim

Dear Dave
If you want to explore women, may I suggest that you look at the real thing? After all, odds are that 1/2 of all the people who walk past you on the street ARE actually women?
Having said that, I do understand that if you're ready to start looking you first define what type of woman you're looking for. I however will assume that you simply want to meet nice women who are "possibles" rather than total "perambulating welcome wagons".
When I was in hunting mode - I took a class in basic automobile maintenance - 22 guys and 2 women. So where do women congregate? Cooking classes would be a good place to start. Also you might want to spend some quality time full-timing. A man who can repair a moho could become very popular at an RV park where there are a lot of seasonal campers. (Five widowers at my home campground have been reduced to two through meeting nice women on the go!)
OH and K cups - after 40 NOOOOOO!!!!! Gravity is a terrible thing! Look for a C.
Paula

Why do all good things have to come to an end?
For those who watched the original, this is the melt sequence in reverse.
Expensive truck to last only one season?

Dave, you have come to the time when women are interesting again. Since older women outnumber older men, you will have many potential women interested in you as you recover. You won't have to look far if you are ready for a new relationship, but you will have to be discriminating. Experimenting is fine, making long commitments can be dangerous until full recovery has happened. You'll find the cups are larger in older women who have sagged and increased in size as the years go by. Nonetheless, the contents are always pleasing. But all sizes, personalities and neuroses are available. Try to remain objective and careful about your choices. And most of all, enjoy yourself as much as you can. And luckily, Viagra and Cialis are much cheaper in Canada than the US. That's why there are so many frustrated men in the US.

Cats have a lot of good traits, but they are fickle and always insist on being in control. That's why we have three, so they can try to control each other, and generally leave us alone unless they want something.

They always want something. Our cat has adapted well to the indoor life after 14 years partly outside. He used to make a lot of noise to go out, but he can't figure out where "outside" is since he can't see "outside" through the doors and he's still afraid of looking out the windows. He's been pretty quiet and that's a great relief. I wish I could understand what he's saying because maybe we could have a dialogue about what the world is like to a cat (I'm afraid of the answer though—probably "kill, eat, sleep"). He does understand a little English, but it is limited to "NO!" when he is making that awful noise that is cat talk.
So, Dave, maybe a cat is what you need if you can teach him to not curl up under the brake and gas pedals. On the other hand, a dog is a great chic magnet. Get one too big to fit under the pedals. Maybe you can lease a dog for a week or two to see how it works.

The dog is out Gene, as I have two bad knees and the walking is limited to what I have to do. We have had a dog/s since 1975 and they are wonderful companions, but I have moved on at this point. (two bad years in a row. lost dog last year and love this year?)
I still have two cats, one at the 18 years old stage and, although he likes to be outside all the time, he has very limited vision, hearing, and not many teeth left. So my job these days is to open and close the door for him an upteen number of times a day.
The other cat just eats, sleeps, and will come in on a sunny day and use the cat box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cats are much like women, control freaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if they don't get their own way, you are going go hear about it until you give in.
Dogs on the other hand are like most guys, loving, loyal and content, as long as supper served on time.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, the "K Cup" was supposed to be the Sunday joke about my lack of education on the new way to make coffee. Times are a changing fast and I am having a hard time keeping abreast of the developments!
Yesterdays coffee was brewed in a pot over the fire, and when you drank it you also got your fibre located conveniently at the bottom of the cup.
Now todays coffee comes from a "K CUP". Its bad enough that they are now making coffee blended with elephant dung, now you get it in syrup form that suggests ((*&&^^%% where this is going?
Dave

Dear Paula
Yes, I always liked exploring ------, and the real thing is the ultimate goal, but many models today are modified versions?
And yes, the odds are probably 50%, but that never helped my investment portfolio over many years of trying. One has a 50% chance as the market will go up or down, but I always missed the correct call.
One of the few things I got lucky on was picking the right women to spend the last 44 years with, but that experience is now gone also.
As far as meeting someone, the last thing I want to do is learn to cook!
Thats what I want a women for??????????? So cooking class is out.
Yes, there are ladies that are in need all over the neighbour-hood, but I have enough to do here that restricts me from taking on any restoration projects other than at home.
And the GRAVITY question? I would like to meet that guy that invented GRAVITY. I am at the point now, when starting any project, of throwing everything on the floor in the beginning, as it is going to end up there anyway.
Dave
ps
Where does one find those "perambulating welcome wagons"? I think I need one for XMAS????????

Actually - I got the "K" cup reference, but fellas for your information, the USA is being influenced by Europe when it comes to bra sizes. Used to be really big was a "D" cup, and everything over that was DD-double D, DDD triple D, DDDD quadruple D.
In the UK and other areas sizes went A,B,C,D,E,F,G..... a K cup bra would probably be a carrier for two 50 lb. bags of dog food and anyone who needed one would be likely to be bedridden.
"perambulating welcome wagon" - they advertise online now "Escort Service" "Exotic Dancer" and be prepared for worse sticker shock than you'd get looking at a new Airstream.
Learning to cook - duh, just be the class dunce... so you might not cook well IN class, but if you get invited home after class? Keep your goal in mind, women who take cooking classes LOVE to cook!
BTW, go to the drug store and check out the condoms - remember when you used to have to ASK for them because they were kept behind the counter? Here's a funny story about my mother and her sister. I was taking the gals out for dinner one night, and as we were heading to Olive Garden, their favorite stop we saw a new store "Condom Nation." Of course they were totally scandalized, but just had to stop to look peek at the place. My 80ish mother who was normally prim and proper was shocked at what she saw through the window, but marched in and boldly asked the very young clerk, "Do you have any geriatric condoms?" When the clerk responded "What are those?" Mom cracked wise, "You know... they have a lead weight in the tip so the old goats can just drop it in!" (Needless to say I hustled Helen & Martha outta there just screaming with laughter at the clerk's reaction. Still chuckling 15 years later.)
Condom-Nation Lingerie Boutique Niles, OH, 44446 - YP.com
(no website, so I wonder if it's still in business... Maybe someone from that area might go check it out.)

opinions please
Hi all, It's come time to thin my Airstream herd and I have a question for the masses. The one that has been voted off the island (or lot...not enough driveways) is the '69 Safari. I am midway through restoring it in original condition and I have all the original upholstery and drapery. My question is would I get more bang for my buck in resale value if I redid the upholstery in a modern less weathered fabric or is it recommended to leave it and let the new owners choose their fabric choices and therefore pay for the upgrade themselves? What are your thoughts. I don't do anything half ass and I want to make sure I don't screw this up..Do people want 45 year old fabrics? If I did redo it I would use quality sunbrella fabrics and I am sure that would cost me a pretty penny.
Does it kill the originality resale value at all? Thought and opinions please...
Thank You,
Leya

We are readying a home to sell. My experience is that a lot of things are best left undone. Making a definite choice of a particular material or style may limit you prospective buyers and generally you don't recover your additional investment.

Dear Paula
As the Christmas season approaches, I have many things on my wish list, but in actual fact, "K Cups" and "Condoms" are nowhere near the top of that list.
Although, I am always open to discuss any subject, the fact is, I am just attempting to escape from that dark cocoon that has shielded my vision of the outside world now for almost a year.
And, it is hard to do that, while burdened down with the responsibilities of finalizing two estate procedures.
The light hearted interactions that are made through contacts on this forum do help a K Cup full in this transition too tomorrow.
But it will be that first extended road trip in the spring, after income tax time, that I hope to leave this all behind. Not sure where, as that depends on whether I have a trusted and competent navigator at that time.
My cooking skills are probably as dangerous to my long term health as the perambulating welcome wagon, so I am thankful there are so many quality places to eat out nowadays.
I do have two specialties that I rely on in the kitchen. Oatmeal for early breakfast, and then a full meal after the noon hour. The evening meals are more of a problem, with my consistent abilities to make charcoal briquettes out of chicken breasts, and managing to brake many glass vessels in that microwave. ( I like to blame it on the smart meters?)
But I will enclose a photo for you. Hope you like it?
Dave
Green pepper, onion, 3 eggs, tomato, greated cheese, on two slices of multi, in a pond of Lanark County Canadian #1 Maple Syrup.. Heather would be wishing she could be here today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the education on cup sizes in North America vs. Britain. I though "K" would be more than excessive for the cups that I thought of, but since I don't drink coffee, I had no idea what Dave was talking about. Not one to let knowledge get in the way of an easy joke as winter approaches (or any other time), I didn't care. I'm still laughing about geriatric condoms.
Paula is right Dave—cooking classes are a great idea. As you fumble around and ruin food, some helpful woman will try to help. Yoga classes are also helpful. Most men stay in the back of the class as they are more interested in the view than the yoga.
I am glad to see your sense of humor is returning. A good sign.

I took meditation and yoga classes several years ago. I'm not suited for either. My mind kept wandering to all the useful and interesting things I could be doing with that time. My experience indicates the view is not all that great either. I see much better at home.
