It is such a nice day here on the coast, I thought I would go to the VIRV Show at Arbutus Meadows.
Vancouver Island RV Show 2014 - Go RVing

Good attendance for early on a Sunday, but I was able to cruise thru those displays that were of interest, and still be out of there by 12:15PM. (MGW is not well and did not accompany me, so I only had to look at what I was interested in? )

Lots of good information from the many vendors for different gear and vacation sites.

But: no Class A's on display. Not even smaller ones.

I was interested ?? in this humongous 5th wheel with all the B&W until I noticed the price. And I would still have to buy an $80,000+ truck to pull it.

For the life of me, I can't understand how the Airstream Class A Premium motorhomes ever get on the sales lot. The are better equipped, look and handle better, and will go anywhere. And you can buy them for 1/3 the cost of these new upper-end trailers and 5th wheels.

My thinks some people have to much money!

Times are Tough

Now that I am a sad, lonely widower and desperate for that companionship I miss so much, I decided to once again, explore the world of fine wine, gorgeous women, and romantic song.

Let me point out that I have discovered the world has changed somewhat from when I was in my teens and pursuing these same objectives.

The wine goes down a lot easier now, and the song lyrics are a bit harder to understand? (I am still trying to figure out what a love song means with a reference to the "RABBIT HOLE"?)

But it is the women that have always been most important in this world and I am completely lost in this modern environment.

My first memories of beautiful women involved the thrill of accessing a 32A Cup. And as the years slipped by, I had the pleasure of studying every cup size through to 36D and enjoyed every fraction of every moment of those experiences.

So recently, when the email came referring to K Cups, my imagination ran wild with visions of something I had never witnessed before in life. I hesitated, but I just could not resist, and I clicked the link.

Note: never click a link unless it is from a trusted source. Trust me this will disappoint you!!!!!!!

Try again. An out of control arm made me hit the send button by accident. I did not try your link for fear of disappointment. But I do have two un solved "where is this" photos and I am pretty sure you have been to both places. Jim

Dear Dave

If you want to explore women, may I suggest that you look at the real thing? After all, odds are that 1/2 of all the people who walk past you on the street ARE actually women?

Having said that, I do understand that if you're ready to start looking you first define what type of woman you're looking for. I however will assume that you simply want to meet nice women who are "possibles" rather than total "perambulating welcome wagons".

When I was in hunting mode - I took a class in basic automobile maintenance - 22 guys and 2 women. So where do women congregate? Cooking classes would be a good place to start. Also you might want to spend some quality time full-timing. A man who can repair a moho could become very popular at an RV park where there are a lot of seasonal campers. (Five widowers at my home campground have been reduced to two through meeting nice women on the go!)

OH and K cups - after 40 NOOOOOO!!!!! Gravity is a terrible thing! Look for a C.

Dave, you have come to the time when women are interesting again. Since older women outnumber older men, you will have many potential women interested in you as you recover. You won't have to look far if you are ready for a new relationship, but you will have to be discriminating. Experimenting is fine, making long commitments can be dangerous until full recovery has happened. You'll find the cups are larger in older women who have sagged and increased in size as the years go by. Nonetheless, the contents are always pleasing. But all sizes, personalities and neuroses are available. Try to remain objective and careful about your choices. And most of all, enjoy yourself as much as you can. And luckily, Viagra and Cialis are much cheaper in Canada than the US. That's why there are so many frustrated men in the US.

Cats have a lot of good traits, but they are fickle and always insist on being in control. That's why we have three, so they can try to control each other, and generally leave us alone unless they want something.

They always want something. Our cat has adapted well to the indoor life after 14 years partly outside. He used to make a lot of noise to go out, but he can't figure out where "outside" is since he can't see "outside" through the doors and he's still afraid of looking out the windows. He's been pretty quiet and that's a great relief. I wish I could understand what he's saying because maybe we could have a dialogue about what the world is like to a cat (I'm afraid of the answer though—probably "kill, eat, sleep"). He does understand a little English, but it is limited to "NO!" when he is making that awful noise that is cat talk.

So, Dave, maybe a cat is what you need if you can teach him to not curl up under the brake and gas pedals. On the other hand, a dog is a great chic magnet. Get one too big to fit under the pedals. Maybe you can lease a dog for a week or two to see how it works.

The dog is out Gene, as I have two bad knees and the walking is limited to what I have to do. We have had a dog/s since 1975 and they are wonderful companions, but I have moved on at this point. (two bad years in a row. lost dog last year and love this year?)

I still have two cats, one at the 18 years old stage and, although he likes to be outside all the time, he has very limited vision, hearing, and not many teeth left. So my job these days is to open and close the door for him an upteen number of times a day.

The other cat just eats, sleeps, and will come in on a sunny day and use the cat box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cats are much like women, control freaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if they don't get their own way, you are going go hear about it until you give in.

Dogs on the other hand are like most guys, loving, loyal and content, as long as supper served on time.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, the "K Cup" was supposed to be the Sunday joke about my lack of education on the new way to make coffee. Times are a changing fast and I am having a hard time keeping abreast of the developments!

Yesterdays coffee was brewed in a pot over the fire, and when you drank it you also got your fibre located conveniently at the bottom of the cup.

Now todays coffee comes from a "K CUP". Its bad enough that they are now making coffee blended with elephant dung, now you get it in syrup form that suggests ((*&&^^%% where this is going?

Dave
