This is what I bought for Christmas. It's a German Icon.

I bought it direct from the dealer, (about 15 miles away) so I did not pay the price listed on this eBay link.

Mercedes-Benz : SLK-Class SLK320 2dr Roadster 3.2L in Mercedes-Benz | eBay Motors

Ken

Do you think it would tow a Bambi?

Ken, I saw it for a second, then it disappeared with a message it was no longer available. But what I did see tells me there would be no problem towing any sized Airstream. You would not even need a WD hitch. Why don't you drive out here today (only 4" of snow so far today) and let me try it out? You could tow the Edsel with the Mercedes too.

Gene,
I think you better ask Santa for a non-Apple computer for Christmas. That link comes up fine for me. I will admit that there is a line at top that says, the item is no longer available, but all the pictures, etc. still show.

It is cold and windy here today. I think we got at least 3/4 inch snow over night. The temp is about 20 degs, but the wind chill is much lower. We are still bone dry over here. Luckily it only takes about 10 mins to freeze proof our sprinkler system, so every two weeks or so, I run it though a cycle on a warmer day and then shut it down again.

Hi, according to the Chevrolet body shape, I will say it's either a 53 or 54 Pontiac. I believe the trailer is a Sparton Manor. No idea what year.

Oh, and if he's buying gas, he's on the wrong side of the island.

It is a Pontiac because of the chrome stripes on the hood. Perhaps about 1952 when the windshield hood was popular. My mother had a sedan that looked like that—it was a '52 and had a 6 cylinder engine that struggled to go over mountains. I learned to drive in that car.

It felt really big, but when I see one now, it seems very small.

The trailer is ?

Any topic is fine, however experience has been a stern teacher about how politics fares in our community of diverse individuals. This 'play fair' post stands in the place of two posts that were removed last night.

Discussion of legislative & regulatory issues are permitted "in association with the topic of this forum." We will interpret that to mean RV'ing in general or Airstreams in particular. Thank you for your understanding.

FYI there's a RV, Sport, and Boating show at Louisiana State Fairgrounds this weekend......

I wouldn't hold my breath about there being any Airstreams to look at.
