Get the best carrier for your area of usage

I agree with what has been said above. Choose your carrier first depending upon their coverage of where you live and travel. Also if you have family members that you call often, what carrier do they use? US Cellular does not offer service in my zip code 90291.

We have Verizon and AT& a Verizon card for the internet. My husband and I cannot agree on one carrier or even one plan for that matter so he has AT&T and an old Razor phone that he loves. I have Verizon and an LG phone that has been reliable (had to replace the battery) but I am due shortly for a new phone. I probably will get LG again so I don't have to buy a new car charger. Because I have Verizon my husband gets a lower rate for the internet card for his computer. So with both we are pretty much covered anywhere in the US.........

By the way, my granddaughter gave me a Crocs cell phone case with Jibbitzs on it.....(because I wear Crocs all the time--she thought I needed it). pj

I have Verizon with a Motorola 810e it is 2 years old. My plan is 39.95 for 450 minutes. I never go over and I use it all the time. The battery is so good that I forget to charge it every 3 weeks or so. I even leave it on all night long.

I have coverage where friends with ATT do not. I don't lose coverage except in the absolute boonies where no one has coverage. Likewise those with Sprint/Nextel.

Because I am a Mac Addict I would have jumped to the iPhone immediately if they had gone with Verizon.

I suggest just pick a phone, get a cheap plan and see how you do. You can always upgrade your plan at any time.

Thnx for all your info and input..currently I have att formerly cingular..I like the idea mentioned of louder volume control, connectivity to my laptop, and the best reception. I used to have the old motorola bag phone, boy that battery lasted forever, and was it heavy!..with that old cellular company before it changed to Verizon (can't remember that name)..the phones I have currently are the old Nokia 3360 and 5165, real dinos!..what is important to my hubby is the volume, as I think he's got some maybe developing hearing (???) I'll be checking into the brands mentioned by you before I decide..thnx..paula
