I keep a cajon with me when I travel in the airstream. Pair of brushes and little mounted drum head for impromptu stuff that might happen around the campfire. My other kits stay home.

Something about a drumset that does not quite fit the sounds cape of the mobile lifestyle. I am going to have to get a Cajon or something to get my fix until I get back to my real set. I have a pretty compact drum setup as it is, but I think I will wind up dishing it off to one of my musician buddies in my hometown. With any luck, I'll get everything back if we ever find ourselves with a permanent residence in the future. I'll be sure to post in a few months with whatever I come up with. Happy roads!

My entire family is musical. My husband plays several instruments. I play piano and keyboard and am learning guitar and harp, and I sing...a lot. All kids play at least one instrument. One of my children is talented vocally as well and another has a natural ability to compose. It's just our "thang."

And I also haul around a Collings 0002 Cutaway, a Composite Acoustics GX, Koaloha Concert, and a dulcimer. I play every morning and just love it.

My AS guitar is an Epiphone masterbilt I picked up last year. Started playing classical at 12 and went from there. Enjoy folk-rock, southern rock and the usual guitar legends, but will play pretty much anything.

A little (rusty) piano, novice ukulele and am taking lessons. Oh and let's not forget the kazoo!

DH is a life-long guitar player; he has a nice collection.

For the future AS, which is currently expected in early December, he recently bought an inexpensive Danelectro. Has a cool sound, but he's still considering a Rainsong.

Favorite song on the Uke? White Stripes' Hotel Yorba in C, easy-peasy for us newbies.

Now if we could only sing...

I love to pick on my guitar. Fingerpicking is my go to on my ‘68 ish B-25. Try to play everyday. Want a 12 string someday. Also have a Seagull S6, and a Gibson Hound Dog resonator that I can’t really figure out. Bought a fun little Seagull Merlin a while back. Check those out. They are ultra portable and very unique.

I have a very cool Rainsong Carbon 12 string collecting dust if your interested!
My goto is a Collings 000 cutaway that is hard to put down.

I used to play drums and bass, but I rarely play it now. I also have ukulele somewhere, I know a couple of songs.

Took ukulele lessons when I was five. Played trumpet elementary school - high school in concert band and orchestra. Have played guitar since 1970. Was in rock bands for a couple of decades (Picture of me below circa 1980 on stage at "Louie's Rock City" in Alexandria, VA. How do you like that hair?). In 1992 started playing in praise/worship bands at church. Started and led a praise/worship band that played at area churches for several years. Was in an acoustic duo for a while. A decade ago, had a full PA, Hammond organ, a synthesizer, bass guitar, and a Roland V-Drums set. Had a ProTools recording set up. Had a hobby building vacuum tube guitar amps. Have a guitar/amp/effects devices collection I'm currently liquidating since we are heading out full time again in a year or so and I don't play much now.

For my current AS "mobile" rig, I have two Traveler guitars: an UltraLight Acoustic and an UltraLight Electric. These guitars are so small they store easily in the AS. I plug the guitars into a Line 6 Sonic Port that is plugged into my iPhone. On the iPhone I either run Mobile POD or JamUp Pro. I have an AirTurn BT200S-4 Bluetooth footswitch to change patches with or control the phone apps. The output of the Sonic Port either goes into headphones for private jamming, or patched to a Bose Color II Soundlink speaker if I want others to hear. On the iPhone I can run Garageband to record, but just starting to learn that. I love this setup. I can play through it just about anywhere. Inside, outside, fireside, in the woods, at the beach, pretty much anywhere.

Do you mean professional musicians? As in, sole income source, and also AS owner?

I ask because it reminds me of an old joke:
