airstreamesque camper
I own an Excella and find that it is too big for my needs. I love the cozy aspect of the center bedroom. Since I like the cozyness I would like to find an aluminum camper for my truck. I remember seeing campers that looked just like an airstream but as a camper. Is there anyone who knows what brand that might have been? It's been quite a few years since I've seen one. Thank you for your advise and direction. Brian

Alaskan pop-up campers
Alaskan pop-up campers are another brand of aluminum campers, along with Travel Queen. I've posted some photos of my 10' Alaskan in the Minuet Axle thread that's also now active.

Alaska Camper
I found an Alaskan Camper in someone's backyard.
What would one of those be worth?

airstreamesque camper
That camper is quite old. I wonder what it is worth? I've been out of town and unable to catch the auction. Looks quite nice in the pictures. Does anyone know if someone around the area might know or be able to take a closer look at this unit?
Thanks,
Brian

Luckily for you, I see that you are located in the Pacific Northwest, prime country for Avion campers from what I have seen. I've been looking for a while down here and they are few and far between. They stopped making them in the 70's so be prepared to look at some basketcases.
Saw a cool 68 GMC truck and Avion C-10 camper combo advertised up your way, dirt cheap too, something like five grand or so. The only thing I would watch is the weight, go ahead and figure on getting a dually to haul it.
Do a search on Avion or Cayo campers and see what you find.

airstreamesque camper
Chas., might you remember where you saw the Avion camper with truck? Inspite of their originator who wanted to make something better than A/S they still go to pot? Aside from storing in a heated, covered space moth and rust doth corrupt? Thanks, Brian

Naturescalin ~
I found this on CraigsList this evening. Looks to be in great shape and its in Scottsdale, a dry climate. Best of luck.

Looking for Avion Truck Camper
I too am looking for an Avion (or Cayo) truck camper. I'd like something for a reasonable price that will be a project, not something in prisine condition that will blow the bank.
I saw one on Craig's list in Seattle for $1250 that would have been good if it wasn't 2600 miles away.
If you've got one or know where there is one for sale east of the Mississippi please send me an email or pm.
Thanks,
