Airstream website upgrade?

Whats up with Airstream? They still have info on there from 06 and almost no updated info. The photos stink too. Does anyone know why? They really need to get on the ball.

It's been like that for years. They are suppose to start to get it more on the ball in the future.

Airstream seems to only update thier site when they have something new, and even then they leave off much detail and information. They seem to have an attitude that WE do what WE want when we want. People buy Airstreams and dealers spend days touching up the shoddy contruction detail. It never seems to change. They never have all the trailers on the web site...they don't give a good list of options, just the basics. The pricing and floor plans on the web site have been the same for almost three years.

I was talking with a dealer just a few weeks ago....HE feels like there are some management changes comming and it could mean some improvement in a lot of things at Airstream. Lets all hope so.

An updated website? Aren't Airstreams retro? We don't need no stinking web site!

I'd have to respectfully disagree. The dealer network is not all that it's cracked up to be (in terms of sales and overall knowledge), and although a call to the factory yields positive results, the bottom line IMHO is that the web could help augment Airstream's dealer network, by having Airstream get the most up to date info out there so that customers who don't happen to be near a great dealer (one that really knows the product very well) can make an informed choice. Lots of places use the web a lot better than Airstream does. Does that make them more right? Not really, just more customer focused in this one area. Customers have been asking for a better website for years.
